The Garden = final instrumental parts
Well, we've pretty much wrapped the instrumental part to The Garden. Much cleaner. I did bass and the first acoustic guitar you hear on the track. Doug Davis laid down tracks for ambient guitar, 2nd acoustic, and solo guitar. Anan Gand ran percussion. By the way, this album is being done in tracks instead of live performance for two reasons - one, I don't really have my own band yet and two, it's a heck-of-a-lot cheaper :) Music now, band next, then World Wide Tour - right?

Turn Around Part two
Okay, here's a rough click track of Turn Around.
1st Evolution
And here's where we're progressing with it. Remember, still in rough stages - especially vocals :)
More to come soon

The Journey Itself
That's the working title to this album project I'm working on. Kristin, my wife, and I were talking about it and how all my songs were focusing on the journey. It's not a quest, just a lifetime spent trying to be more like my creator wants me to be. Do I always succeed? NO! But I always try to re-orient when I go astray.

Turn Around
This song is all about how temptation, or evil, can present itself in a real pretty package. Whether that is the greasy handshake from a well oiled politician, or a not so righteous thought after a pretty smile it makes no difference. Screwtape is constantly trying to find kinks in our supposedly righteous armor. The challenge is to see if you can recognize it for what it is, or do you let it get into to you and compromise your being. We all meet these cross roads, which path do we chose? And if we chose the wrong one, how far do we go before we realize our mistake. The beautiful thing about God is that Elohim is waaaaaaaaaay more forgiving than we can possibly hope to imagine. We just have to realize that we have to get out of our own way, turn around and correct our heading.

My Baby's Away

Just spoke with Phil Kubicki, my bass arrived today for a 20 year check up. Phil's great, but he definitely has a West Coast laid back personality. Me, East Coast with 3 kids running around tried my level best to cool out with Phil, but the pressure to parent away the most recent household skirmish took precedence. Phil, awesome bass! Can't wait to see what she looks like when she gets back home!

Shout Out
Just an add on to my original posting. I've attached some links to some great influences and friends. Doug and Anan @ Flytrap Music Productions are doing a great job with the album so far. Rob Bell is a HUGE influence in my faith and about how to keep the music accessible. The point is the message, not the theological acrobatics. Keep the faith y'all.
A Second Chance
My new album, actually my first album, is letting me explore my spirituality in a way I haven't before. It's also letting me live out that dream I've had for a long, long time but never had the time, resources, or material to pursue. Suddenly, when dedicating myself to the creation of this project I have had nothing but well wishers and benefactors come out of nowhere to help this project on it's way. Thank God for prayers answered! Now let's get to the soundroom!
